Announcing “Art on the Trails Walk & Natural Pigment Demonstration”

Artist Mira Cabrera creates abstract landscape paintings using a combination of natural foraged pigments and traditional mediums. Join Middlebury Studio School and Middlebury Area Land Trust during Vermont Crafts Council’s Spring Open Studio Weekend for a unique event designed to bring art to the outdoors.

Participants are invited to hike a short self-guided gallery walk along a TAM trail, with Mira’s original paintings displayed along the way. After viewing the artworks, Mira will demonstrate the process she uses to forage and incorporate natural pigments from the trails into her work.

Watercolor supplies and natural earth pigments will be provided for those who wish to create their own masterpiece to take home. No prior experience is necessary, and artists of all ages are encouraged to enjoy this event.

The workshop will take place on May 25th, from 10-12am at Wright Park Trailhead (South) in Middlebury, Vermont. Fill out this form so you don’t miss weather updates & add the event reminder to your calendar!
